Subscription and Billing

How Coppermind pricing works, what happens during your free trial, and what to expect when you upgrade or cancel.

Pricing#

Coppermind uses simple per-client mind pricing. You pay for the client minds you use.

All plans are billed monthly. Every client mind includes full access to all 45+ tools -- no feature gates, no tier restrictions.

Free Client Minds#

Your Personal client mind and Sales client mind are always free and do not count against your client mind limit. Use them for personal notes, sales pipeline tracking, and anything not tied to a specific client.

Free Trial#

Every new Coppermind account gets one month free -- no credit card required to start.

• Create client minds up to your plan quantity
• No restrictions during the trial period

What Happens When the Trial Ends#

If you do not add a payment method before the 30 days are up:

• Your data is safe. Nothing is deleted. Ever.
• Read operations keep working. You can still search memories, run meeting prep, and view brand voice.
• Write operations are blocked. You cannot store new memories, create quick notes, or update brand voice.
• Error messages will tell you what happened and include a link to upgrade.

Your knowledge base is too valuable to lose. Coppermind keeps it intact and accessible so you can pick up right where you left off when you are ready to subscribe.

Adding More Client Minds#

To add more client minds to your subscription:

1. Update the quantity on your Stripe subscription
2. Your client_mind_limit updates automatically via webhook
3. New client minds can be created immediately

When you try to create a client mind beyond your limit, Coppermind tells you what happened and links to the pricing page to upgrade.

Founding Member Rate#

Early adopters can lock in $125/month per client mind for one full year. After the year, pricing moves to the standard $249/month rate. The founding rate applies to all client minds on the subscription.

Payment Issues#

If a payment fails:

1. 7-day grace period. Full access continues while Stripe retries the payment.
2. After 7 days without successful payment, your account transitions to read-only mode (same as trial expiration).
3. When payment succeeds (either through Stripe retry or you updating your payment method), full access is restored automatically. No action needed from you.

You can always access your account management endpoints even during a payment issue.

Canceling#

If you cancel your subscription:

• Access transitions to read-only mode
• Your data is never deleted
• You can re-subscribe at any time and pick up where you left off with the same customer account and all your memories intact

Managing Billing#

Coppermind uses Stripe for all billing. To update your payment method, view invoices, or manage your subscription, use the Stripe customer portal. Coppermind does not handle billing directly -- Stripe's hosted portal is your destination for all payment-related tasks.
